***Our Peony Root sale will start on September 1st

We get our roots from our wholesale supplier over in the Netherlands. The roots are dug in late September and immediately shipped over to the warehouse in the US and then trucked to us at our flower farm - (the short port strike delayed our delivery for several weeks and we are now expecting to receive our truck the middle of December.) These roots are premium quality LARGE 5/8 eye - 3-4 year old plants.* (Eyes are the pink /white buds sprouting on the roots) We usually we get blooms the first spring after fall planting - and you can cut the first years blooms but MAKE SURE you leave most of the leaves on plant so it can get the needed photosynthesis to get bigger and better next year.)

* Peony ALRERTI is a 3/5 eye root - 2 to 3 year old root.

These varieties are the cultivars that we grow here on our flower farm in North Texas and do very well for us. Most of these varieties bloom in early to mid spring and are very productive as the plants mature.

***All Roots are Pick up only and will be available for pick up in mid December here at the farm by appointment or on Saturday’s at The McKinney Farmer’s Market at Chesnut Square. No Shipping is available. Once the roots are ready to be freighted from the Northeast - we will email you the pick up dates.
